Delegates were treated to a rundown of data-backed running trends at the International Run Expo 2025, which took place in November in Amsterdam.
Teaming up with Runner’s World’s Urs Weber (right) and Run Motion’s Guillaume Adam (left), Sporting Insights’ Marc Anderman (middle) took to the stage to report on market movements and trends that running brands and retailers need to be aware of.
The presentation included information on:
- Runners’ profiles
- Running habits
- Event participation
- Training
- Technology
- Buying habits
- Brand preferences
- Purchase influences
For those unable to attend on the day, the presentation is now available as a free download on the Sporting Insights website.
Marc Anderman commented: “The Running Industry is on an up! Hopefully, the Industry Trends session helped to show that the industry in Europe currently has many key positive indicators. This positivity can continue to contribute to the growth of the Running Industry in the many different formats of events and styles of running. Data can inform & validate what we are feeling.
Big thanks to Guillaume Adam and Urs Weber for the wonderful collaboration in making yesterday’s session possible and insightful. Special thanks also to Mike Seaman Shirry Liram Kate Jamieson & the many brilliant hard working Raccoons in pulling together this event & the force behind bringing ISPO to Amsterdam next year. Keep bringing people together.”
