Golf fans can get deeper insights than ever into the make-up of their favourite players’ bags, thanks to the launch of www.smsontour.com.
The new site showcases both current and historic information on the drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, putters, and rangefinders of the world’s leading players. Shaft and grip information is also available to premium members.
Golfers can view topline, face, and head images of the clubs played on tour, investigate club lofts and grinds, and generally geek on all things golf equipment.
Interested fans can sign up for Tour Reports delivered direct to their inbox straight after each week’s event.

A Community What’s In the Bag page also allows amateur golfers to upload their bags and show off their prized sticks alongside their favourite pros.
Equipment data is collected inside the ropes at every DP World Tour event around the world. The Sporting Insights team of John Whyte and Jack Cornish can be found recording equipment on the driving range before the first round of competition. For some more insight into the process and challenges behind the time-sensitive data collection, read more here.
The site acts as a companion library to the successful @sms_on_tour Instagram page, which generated 12.3 million views in the last 30 days at the time of writing, showing the golfing public’s appetite for equipment information.
The DP World Tour’s late summer and autumn schedule includes some of the most prestigious tournaments and courses in golf, building up to the season finale at the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai in November.
